CHEROKEE and WEIR – Parents or Guardians of USD 247 students who are not receiving text messages from the school, but would like to, need to opt into receiving messages by texting (from your phone) “Yes” to the number 79041. If you need assistance in doing this, please contact the district office (620-457-8350) for help.

If your address, email, or phone number has changed or if any of these change in the future, please contact your student’s respective school to make sure everything is up to date, so you can continue to receive important text messages, emails, mail, and phone calls concerning your student, school, and district.

Another way to stay connected is to sign up to have website posts automatically delivered to your email inbox. That way, you won’t miss event or fundraiser notifications. Just follow these steps:

1. Go to the website www.usd247.com.

2. Enter your email address (work or personal or both) in the box where the red arrow is pointed (see graphic).

3. Then click on the black oval circle “Receive new posts via email.” That’s it!
