The Southeast Senior Night was held for the Winter season participants on Friday February 19, 2016. Honored were Basketball, Jazz Band and Band seniors. These students and their families have dedicated many hours proudly representing Southeast High School, and we thank their parents for encouraging their child to be active in their school.
Students, we have appreciated your dedication and drive throughout your high school career. You have represented our colors with class and pride and we wish you all the best after graduation as you begin the next chapter in your lives. On behalf of the Lancer Fans, thank you for the memories.

Southeast High School Band Seniors
Diane Bennett is the daughter of Della Bennett and Johnny Bennett. She has participated in Band 3 years and Jazz Band 2 years. After graduation, Diane plans to attend PSU to study English and prepare for a career in fictional writing.
William Arthur Chrysler III is the son of Charity and William Chrysler. He has been in Lancer Band all 4 years and Jazz Band 3 years. He plans on attending college and going into the field of Biology.
Zach Jones is the son of Jeanna and Clay Jones. He has been a member of Jazz Band one year. He plans to attend Coffeyville Community College Technical School in Columbus in the fall.
Courtney Ross, daughter of Stephanie and Merle Ross, has been a member of Jazz Band one year. Courtney plans to attend Labette Community College and then transfer to Pitt State where she will major in Art Education or Family & Consumer Sciences.
Bryson Spahn is the son of Deidre and the late John Spahn. He is escorted by his grandparents, Larry and Kathy Spahn, and Karen Johnston, due to his mother’s hospitalization for leukemia treatments. Bryson has been a member of the Band all 4 years. After graduation, he plans on attending KU to major in Film and Media Studies, and has already been accepted to the KU Honors Program.
Taylor Stanley is the daughter of Nicole King, and Doug and Billie Stanley. Taylor has played all 4 years. She plans to attend a 4-year university to study Pharmacology and continue playing music through college.
Southeast High School Basketball Senior Girls
Kalyn Bitner is the daughter of Christine Bitner and Eric Bitner. She has been a part of the team all 4 years. After graduation, Kalyn plans to play volleyball for Neosho County for 2 years, before attending a university to major in Chemistry or Physics and one day, she hopes to become an Astronaut.
Melanie Hartman is the daughter of LaDonna and Matt Hartman. She has played all 4 years. Melanie plans to major in Ag Business Management at the College of the Ozarks.
Southeast High School Senior Boys
Devin Gideon would like to recognize his Mom and step dad—Danna and John Daniel, his father Steve Gideon, and Grandma “Granny Doll” Phyliss Meyer. Devin has played basketball all 4 years. After graduation, he plans to finish his Associates Degree at Coffeyville Community College in Construction, then transferring to Pitt State to earn a degree in Construction Management.
Chandler Jackson is the son of Michelle Jackson Tridle and Jim Jackson. He has played for the Lancers all 4 years. Chandler plans to attend Pitt State and major in Construction Management.
Andy Long is the son of Barbara and Travis Long. He has played all 4 years. After graduating, Andy plans to attend college to further his education.
Colton Paasch is the son of Carla and Mike Paasch. He’s played Lancer Basketball for 4 years. Colton plans to play football at Independence Community College and further his education.
Caleb Thompson is the son of Debbie and John Thompson. Caleb has played all 4 years on our team. He plans to attend Pittsburg State University to pursue a career in Education or Technology.
Juan Valdivia is the son of Celia Valdivia, and Christian Valdivia. He has played for the Lancers 4 years. Juan plans to attend Pittsburg State and major in Plastics Engineering.
