Southeast loses in 3 in a duel at Columbus
12-25, 19-25, 21-25
Sophomore Kinzey Cassidy had 7 kills
Sr. Kailynn Martin had 13 digs
“Tonight we did a lot of good things. But our serving held us back. We missed way too many serves. Columbus had some strong servers and got quite a few aces on us. I feel our blocking is getting better and our defense is able to line-up with the hitter. We also had some of our hitters put the ball down tonight consistently, that was great to see. So. Kinzey Cassidy had a great night and hit really well. We are making steps in the right direction. We just have to pick it up mentally and put it together.” Head coach Maya White
Sr. Captain Kailynn Martin’s thoughts on tonight. “Going into the game, we knew Columbus had improved a lot from last year. We started our first set with mistakes which just put us down. We need to focus on our serves and stop being afraid to play. We need to learn from our mistakes and focus on our next set. We aren’t there mentally but we can be and I truly feel that we are going to be”
Our record is now 4-10
Our next match is Tuesday at Altoona varsity only. We play Pleasanton at 6 and Altoona at 7.
Our JV also lost
