“In the first set we started out a little slow but once the game started going we got a little better. We were kinda just playing like we always do, like we were playing for both teams, like our goal wasn’t to win. In the second set we started to go downhill, something happened and everyone’s attitude just went down. By the third set we started to get back up and we came out with the win! We did a lot of good things, but it was the little things that got to us. We definitely improved but we still have a lot of room to learn.”- Fr. Teagan Warner
Lost to Northeast 25-22, 11-25, 12-25 Sr. Kalle Bitner had 3 blocks, So. Kinzey Kassidy had 2 Blocks, Fr. Natalie Wells had 7 kills.
“In the game against Arma we started off very strong. We had a lot of energy and it was a really fun game to play. We barely had any errors and we were all putting the ball down very well. The second set we didn’t do as well. Our energy started to go down and we got in our heads. We didn’t talk as much but we just weren’t as focused as we were the first set. Then we went to a third set, in that set we just fell apart. We had a lot of errors and our energy went down a lot. Towards the end of that set we started picking it up but not enough to get a win. ” – Jr. Zoey Tavernaro
“Tonight we had 2 hard fought matches both going to 3 sets. We had some great things…We had our most kills as a team for a night and our blocking and defense is continuing to get better. Our setters are working hard and continuing to improve. Our mental game is our biggest area of focus, we are working on it and it is getting there.” – Head coach Maya White
Our record is now 6-14. Our next match is next Tuesday for another TRL night at home against Crest and Yates Center at 5 and 7pm.
Our Jv played a duel tonight against Northeast and lost in 4. They won the first set and lost the next two. They battled back in the 4th set losing 25-27 coming just short of taking it to a game 5. JV’s next match is going to be a tournament at Pittsburg High School this Saturday. Game times TBA
