Meet Our New Southeast Staff!

CHEROKEE – Please give a warm welcome to our new Southeast staff! We are very pleased to have them on board and look forward to #LivingTheLancerLife with them!

I am Bobbie Powers and I will be teaching MTSS with K-4th grades. Basically, I will be doing targeted intervention for reading and math. I’ve worked in the district for the past four years as a para and love helping the kids.

I attended and graduated from Southeast as did all 4 of my children. I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 30 years. Along with our four kids, we have 7 grandchildren (and possibly four bonus ones). I greatly enjoy spending time with my family and friends and reading a good book whenever I have time.

Hello!!!  My name is Debra Leslie, and I am your new special education teacher in the elementary building!! I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Pitt State, and have been a special educator for over 20 years.  My three “mini-me’s” (grandsons) keep a big smile on my face and laughter in my heart. I’m so happy to be a part of the Lancer Family! I truly feel like I’m finally home.
