SHS Spanish II Class Makes Connections With Pittsburg Community
Southeast High School Spanish II students enjoyed a wonderful field trip that was both meaningful and engaging. Throughout the day, they had the opportunity to apply their Spanish skills in real-world settings while building positive connections within the community.
The group visited several local locations, including Guest Home Estates, the World Cup Countdown Clock at PSU, El Caballo de Oro for lunch, and Fernandez Market. Each stop offered valuable experiences that allowed students to observe, interact, and practice what they have been learning in class. The trip supported the Spanish curriculum by encouraging students to use Spanish in authentic contexts while also strengthening their cultural awareness.
Mrs. Santa Cruz, Spanish Teacher, added, “I am very proud of the students for their respectful behavior and positive attitudes toward learning and engaging with the community. They represented our school in a very positive way.
