Kester takes 2nd at State (Updated Feb 25 at 6:15p)

Southeast-Cherokee senior Tyler Kester took 2nd place at the KSHSAA Class 321A State Championship in the 120 pound weight division in Hays, Kansas on Saturday February 25, 2017.

While the Lancer Wrestling program is in only its 3rd year, Kester is a veteran wrestler who has spent several years with Coach Jason Wilderman. As a freshman, Kester took 4th in the State while wrestling for Pittsburg High. An injury sidelined him as a sophomore and he missed out on the opportunity to qualify for State. Last year, he took 4th place in Class 321A as a junior, giving the Southeast program it’s first State medal. Class 321A Bracket (Live updates by TrackWrestling) | Fan Information for in Hays
